Emerging Markets Horizon Corp. (HORIU) Prices $250M IPO


Emerging Markets Horizon Corp. announced the pricing of its $250 million IPO and its units are expected to begin trading on the Nasdaq under the symbol “HORIU” Thursday, December 9.

The new SPAC intends to focus on Central & Eastern Europe (“CEE”), Russia, or the Commonwealth of Independent States (“CIS”) whose business purpose is to effect a merger, share exchange, asset acquisition, share purchase, reorganization, or similar business combination with one or more businesses. Emerging Markets Horizon is led by CEO Riccardo Orcel along with CFO Bernard Abdelmalak.

Total SPAC deal count for 2021 year-to-date is now 581. This offering is expected to close on Monday, December 13.


Citigroup Global Markets Inc. (“Citigroup”) and VTB Capital plc (“VTB”) are acting as the joint book-running managers and Ladenburg Thalmann & Co. Inc. is acting as co-manager for the offering. Linklaters LLP is serving as Issuer’s Counsel with Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP serving as Underwriter’s Counsel. Marcum LLP serves as auditor. Continental Stock Transfer & Trust Company is acting as trustee.
