UTA Acquisition Corp. (UTAAU) Prices $200M IPO


UTA Acquisition Corp. announced the pricing of its $200 million IPO and its units are expected to begin trading on the Nasdaq under the symbol “UTAAU” Thursday, December 2.

The new SPAC intends to focus its search on businesses in gaming, but also across related areas within the broader digital media, creator economy, entertainment, and technology landscape. UTA is led by Chairman of the Board Reginald Fils-Aime, Co-CEOs Clinton Foy and Jamie Sharp, President Ophir Lupu, and CFO Chris Jefferies.

Total SPAC deal count for 2021 year-to-date is now 565. This offering is expected to close on Monday, December 6.


Credit Suisse is acting as the sole bookrunner for the offering.  Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP is serving as Issuer’s Counsel with Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP serving as Underwriter’s Counsel. BDO, USA serves as auditor. Continental Stock Transfer & Trust Company is acting as trustee.
