Software Acquisition Corp. (SAQN) Completes CuriosityStream Combination

Software Acquisition Corp. (NASDAQ:SAQN) announced this afternoon that it has completed its business combination with documentary streaming service CuriosityStream and the combined entity will begin trading on the Nasdaq tomorrow, Thursday, October 15 under the ticker symbol “CUBI.”

The deal cleared the final hurdle by securing approval by Software Acquisition shareholders in a special meeting October 12. The company’s press release did not provide any other details on the approval vote tally or redemptions, but we will update once these numbers have been filed.

Software Acquisition initially announced its $331 million deal with Curiosity stream on August 11 and so secured a swift close in just over two months. The SPAC had $150 million in its trust at the time of the deal, which it supplemented with a $25 million PIPE. The transaction’s terms required it to maintain $60 million in cash available in order for the deal to close.
