Executive Officers

Nicole Neeman Brady, 40
Chief Executive Officer and Director

Ms. Neeman Brady has over 20 years of experience as an entrepreneur, executive, investor and community leader with global water, energy, and agricultural expertise. Ms. Neeman Brady also brings a diverse management expertise through her work in various operational and leadership roles. Ms. Neeman Brady serves as Principal and previously served as the firm’s Chief Operating Officer at Renewable Resources Group LLC, as well as a member of the Investment Committee and a board member of several of RRG’s portfolio companies. Ms. Neeman Brady joined Renewable Resources Group LLC in 2017. From 2008 to 2017, Ms. Neeman Brady was a leader in various parts of Edison International (NYSE:EIX). She held the role of President and Founder at Edison Water Resources, a distributed water purification and recycling business, Vice President of Strategic Planning and Officer at Edison International, Director of Energy Procurement and Director of Renewable & Alternative Power Contracts at Southern California Edison. Earlier in her career, Ms. Neeman Brady worked in consulting for McKinsey & Co, in strategic planning for Twentieth Century Fox and in private equity for Goldman Sachs. Ms. Neeman Brady’s experience also includes a deep understanding of and passion for the public sector, including board service on the Colorado River Board of California and currently, as a Commissioner on the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power and a Board member of the Library Foundation of Los Angeles. Ms. Neeman Brady holds dual AB degrees with honors from Brown University and an MBA, with distinction, from Harvard Business School.


Eric Techel, 46
Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Techel has over 20 years of experience as an executive, investor and community leader in sustainable finance and venture capital. Currently Mr. Techel is a Partner and oversees Finance and Operations at Capricorn Investment Group which he joined in 2007. Prior to Capricorn Investment Group, Mr. Techel was a Senior Manager with Deloitte in the Special Acquisition Services Group, which focused on due diligence for potential acquisitions of KKR. He spent 11 years with Deloitte in San Francisco, Bermuda, and Los Angeles. Mr. Techel is a CPA and received his B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Robert Schultz, 56
Chair of the Board of Directors

Mr. Schultz has over 30 years of experience in sustainable finance as executive, investor and community leader. Currently Mr. Schultz is a Partner of Capricorn Investment Group. Prior to Capricorn Investment Group, he was the co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Greentech Capital Advisors, an investment bank and asset management firm focused on creating a more efficient and sustainable global infrastructure, which was sold to Nomura in April 2020. Prior to Greentech, he was a Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of Morgan Stanley Fund Services and before that was a Managing Director and Head of Alternative Fund Services, North America for HSBC. He is currently a Director of Help for Children and on the Advisory Board for Brighter Children. Mr. Schultz is a Chartered Accountant and received his Bachelor of Commerce, with Honors, from Queen’s University in Canada.


Kathleen Brown, 75
Director

Ms. Brown is a Partner at the law firm Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP in Los Angeles. Prior to joining Manatt, Ms. Brown served in senior executive positions at Goldman Sachs Inc. and Bank of America. At Goldman Sachs, where her roles included chairman of Midwest investment banking and head of the Western region public-sector and infrastructure group, Ms. Brown participated in over $4.2 billion of water and power bond financings and counseled municipal utilities in California in their efforts to meet the state’s renewable energy standards. She also helped healthcare institutions navigate the challenges and opportunities presented by healthcare reform. As California State treasurer, Ms. Brown managed a $25 billion bond portfolio, oversaw a $32 billion cash management fund and served as a trustee on the boards of CalPERS and CalSTRS, two of the largest pension funds in the nation. Ms. Brown served as co-chair of the Council of Institutional Investors; co-chair of the Presidential Commission on Capital Budgeting; a commissioner of the Los Angeles Board of Public Works; and a two-term member of the Los Angeles Board of Education. Ms. Brown holds a BA from Stanford University and a JD from Fordham University Law School.


Andrew Kassoy, 51
Director 

Mr. Kassoy is CEO and Co-Founder of B Lab. Prior to co-founding B Lab with Jay Coen Gilbert and Bart Houlahan, Mr. Kassoy spent 16 years in the private equity business; as a Partner at MSD Real Estate Capital, an investment vehicle for Michael Dell, as Managing Director in Credit Suisse First Boston’s Private Equity Department, and as a founding partner of DLJ Real Estate Capital Partners. He is a Board Member of Echoing Green and LabShul. He was a member of the U.S. Working Group of the G8 Social Impact Investing Task Force and a board member of the Freelancers Union. Mr. Kassoy graduated with Distinction from Stanford University where he was a Truman Scholar and President’s Award winner. He is a Henry Crown Fellow at the Aspen Institute.


Annette Rodriguez-Ferrer, 39
Director

Ms. Rodriguez-Ferrer is a Managing Partner and Co-Founder of MKH Capital Partners, a Miami-based private equity firm. Ms. Rodriguez-Ferrer currently serves on the Board of Clean Streak Ventures. Prior to forming MKH Capital Partners, Ms. Rodriguez-Ferrer was a founding Partner at Navab Capital Partners and prior to that, was a Managing Director at Warburg Pincus. While at Warburg, Ms. Rodriguez-Ferrer served on the Boards of Gabe’s, Glansaol, Outset Medical (NASDAQ: OM), Silk Road Medical (NASDAQ: SILK), TriMark, and Wencor Group and was also actively involved with Scotsman Industries, Neiman Marcus and Consolidated Precision Products. Prior to Warburg Pincus, Ms. Rodriguez-Ferrer worked at JPMorgan Partners (nka CCMP Capital), the private equity arm of J.P. Morgan. Ms. Rodriguez-Ferrer currently serves on the Harvard Business School Alumni Board and the Board of New York Professional Advisors for Community Entrepreneurs, a non-profit organization. Ms. Rodriguez-Ferrer received a BS from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
