Executive Officers

Daniel Ahn, 52
Chief Executive Officer and Director, 52

Mr. Ahn has been the Managing Partner of Clearvision Ventures since 2015 with a focus on enterprise software and AI / Machine Learning. Previously, Mr. Ahn was a Managing Director at two Silicon Valley firms for a total of 17 years. Mr. Ahn has led investments in ChargePoint (SPAC Merger NYSE:SBE), Analogix Semiconductor (acquired by Shanhai), ClearCare (acquired by WellSky), Berkeley Design Automation (acquired by Mentor Graphics), Wise.io (acquired by GE), and Zingbox (acquired by Palo Alto Networks). Mr. Ahn has also invested in Apache Design (acquired by Ansys), and Hotrail (acquired by Conexant). Prior to his investing career, Mr. Ahn co-founded Endpoint technologies, which was acquired by Applied Materials. Mr. Ahn earned an AB from Harvard College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.


Felix Zhang, 49
Chief Financial Officer

Since 2015, Mr. Zhang has served as a Managing Member at Clearvision Ventures. Mr. Zhang was the largest investor in one of the most successful European clean-tech companies (Sonnen) and has invested in numerous other private technology companies. In 2009, Mr. Zhang co-founded Envision Energy, Int’l a multi-billion-dollar wind farm developer and turbine manufacturer. From 2009 to the present, Mr. Zhang has been Group Executive Director at Envision Energy, Int’l. Since 2005, Mr. Zhang has also served as a Partner at Artesian Capital Management. Mr. Zhang has a BS degree in applied mathematics and sciences from the University of Wisconsin, a master’s degree from University of St. Thomas, and attended the AMP programs at Harvard Business School.


Ashish Gupta, 54
Chief Technology Officer

Dr. Gupta is a distinguished investor, entrepreneur and technologist. Since 2015, Dr. Gupta has been a venture partner at Clearvision Ventures. In 2005 Dr. Gupta co-founded Helion Ventures, from 2005 to the present Dr. Gupta has been a Senior Managing director at Helion Ventures. Previously, Dr. Gupta co-founded two successful technology companies – Tavant Technologies and Junglee (acquisition by Amazon). Dr. Gupta has invested in Flipkart (acquired by Walmart), PubMatic (IPO), Upwork (IPO) Azure Power (IPO), MakeMyTrip (IPO), Daksh (acquired by IBM), InfoEdge (acquired by Naukri.com), and Redbus (acquired by MIH). Prior to this, Dr. Gupta held engineering roles at Oracle and IBM. Dr. Gupta earned a BS from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, graduating number one in his class and was awarded the President’s Gold Medal. Dr. Gupta earned a PhD in computer science from Stanford University.


Thomas Englis, 26
Vice President of Administration and Secretary

Mr. Englis is an investor at Clearvision Ventures. From 2018 to the present, Mr. Englis has focused on investments at the intersection of software and sustainable infrastructure at Clearvision. From 2016 to 2018, Mr. Englis was with GE Ventures, focusing on investments in technology companies serving energy and industrial applications. Mr. Englis earned a BS from Vanderbilt University.

Scott Booth, 52
Chairman

Since 1975, Mr. Wassner has been CEO of Hilldun Corporation, providing business advice, financing, factoring and services to the fashion industry. Hilldun operates worldwide and has worked with premium brands including Marc Jacobs, Alexander Wang, Golden Goose, and hundreds of others, and currently factors over 400 companies, the vast majority of which are suppliers of apparel and other consumer goods. Mr. Wassner has also served as the Chairman and Founding Partner of InterLuxe Holdings, an investment platform that supports fashion and luxury brands with capital, infrastructure, business resources and strategic guidance to accelerate growth, since 2014. InterLuxe’s first investment was in the designer company, JWU LLC, Jason Wu. Subsequent investments by InterLuxe were in the contemporary sportswear company ALC and outerwear company Mackage, where Mr. Wassner has held board member positions since 2015 and 2017, respectively. Mr. Wassner currently serves on the boards of the High School of Fashion Industries and FGI (Fashion Group International), as well as being an active Advisory Board member of FIT’s Social Justice Collaborative. He is a frequent guest lecturer at FIT, Parsons and the Fordham Fashion Law Institute, as well as many other organizations related to the fashion industry. Mr. Wassner has also served as a member of the Council of Fashion Designers of America CFDA/CFI Advisory Board and a Business Mentor for the Fashion Incubator Program. Mr. Wassner graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Harpur College, SUNY Binghamton, where he also received a Master’s Degree in Philosophy, and then continued his graduate studies at Bryn Mawr College until he joined Hilldun Corporation.


Eric Dresselhuys, 56
Director Nominee

Mr. Dresselhuys is an accomplished entrepreneur and executive with operating and board experience from startups to public companies. Mr. Dresselhuys founded Silver Spring Networks in 2002, the pioneer in smart grid and industrial IoT, which went public in 2013 and achieved a greater than one billion dollar market capitalization. From 2002 to 2017, Mr. Dresselhuys served multiple roles at Silver Spring Networks, including VP of Sales, VP of Marketing, CMO, EVP Product Management, EVP Corporate Development. From 2018 to 2019, Mr. Dresselhuys was the President of Development at Smart Energy Water. From 2017 to the present, Mr. Dresselhuys has been the CEO of Juncion, Inc. Mr. Dresselhuys serves on the board of directors of AutoGrid Systems, Inc.


Richard Lowenthal, 68
Director Nominee

Mr. Lowenthal will serve as one of our independent directors as of the effective date of the registration statement. In 2007 Mr. Lowenthal became the founding CEO of ChargePoint, the leading electric vehicle charging company in North America. From 2007 to the present, Mr. Lowenthal has served as a Director of ChargePoint. ChargePoint is currently completing its merger process with Switchback Energy Acquisition Corp (NYSE:SBE). Mr. Lowenthal’s SPAC experience as a Board Member of ChargePoint will help our team and target company to understand this process through the eyes of a successful target company. Prior to founding ChargePoint, he was instrumental in starting several technology companies, including Lightera, Pipal Systems and Procket Networks. Previously, Mr. Lowenthal held senior executive roles at Cisco, StrataCom, Stardent Computers and Convergent Technologies. Mr. Lowenthal is a former Mayor of Cupertino, California.
