Executive Officers

William Wai-Lun Ip, 65
Chief Executive Officer and Chairman

Mr. Ip has extensive investment banking experience spanning over 26 years in Asia, with emphasis on Greater China, Japan, and Southeast Asia, covering cross-border M&A, IPO sponsorship, pre-IPO fund raising, equity capital markets and financial advisory transactions. Since December 2021, Mr. Ip has been an independent non-executive director of Kantone Holdings Limited (HK:1059). Since July 2021, Mr. Ip has been serving as a director at Pine Peak Corporate Finance Limited, working closely in the origination and assessment of investment opportunities with the private equity fund of Pine Peak Capital Group, based in Hong Kong. Since June 2021, Mr. Ip has been serving as an independent non-executive director at Hopson Development Holdings Limited, a major real estate development company listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange under the symbol 0754. From April 2012 to January 2021, Mr. Ip served as an executive director of the M&A department of Nikko Securities (Hong Kong) Limited (“SMBC Nikko HK”), a company which provides investment banking services, and has originated, overseen and executed many cross-border M&A transactions between Japan, Greater China, North America and Europe. During which time, Mr. Ip has worked closely with many major and active global private equity funds. Together with Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (“SMBC”), the corporate banking arm, and SMBC Nikko Securities Inc. (of which SMBC Nikko HK is a wholly owned subsidiary), the investment banking arm, are both core members of Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group (“SMFG”), the second-largest listed financial institution in Japan. SMBC Nikko Securities Inc, and SMBC have fostered very close working relations to leverage the combined vast domestic and global networks and resources of the investment banking and corporate banking arm within SMFG. From March 2010 to February 2012, Mr. Ip served as Managing Director and Head of the Investment Banking Department at Cantor Fitzgerald (HK) Capital Markets Limited, a subsidiary of New York-headquartered Cantor Fitzgerald, a financial services company. He has also been a Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission license holder (Type 1, 4, and 6) since 2003. During the tenure of Mr. Ip in the Listing Division of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange from March 1994 to September 1996, he passed the Hong Kong Securities Brokers Examination, Options Trading Officer and Representative Examination, and Options Clearing Officer Examination in 1996. Mr. Ip has been a Chartered Financial Analyst since 1995. Mr. Ip earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the London School of Economics, a Master of Science degree from the University of London, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Wharton School of Finance, University of Pennsylvania in 1980, 1981 and 1985, respectively.


Satoshi Tominaga, 43
Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Tominaga has 19 years of extensive experience in investment and private equity specializing in the TMT sector. Since May 2016, Mr. Tominaga has been serving as a managing partner of DeTiger Equity Fund in Asia, an equity fund. As a managing partner of DeTiger Equity Fund, he has led DT Asia Investments Limited to list on the Nasdaq and invested in more than 60 fintech and blockchain technology projects, including projects in DeFi, exchanges, payments, lending, crypto trading, healthcare, data science, supply chain, internet of things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, big data analysis, and other fintech related projects. From November 2017 to December 2020, Mr. Tominaga served as an independent director of Tottenham Acquisition I Limited, a SPAC that successfully completed a merger with Clene Nanomedicine Inc., a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company. From November 2014 to February 2016, Mr. Tominaga served as a managing director and investment head of Japan for Fosun International Limited, an investment holding company which is listed on the Hong Kong Main Board ( HKEx: 656). From October 2010 to September 2014, Mr. Tominaga worked at SBI Holdings Inc., a fintech conglomerate spun off from Softbank, where he served as an executive director and expatriate investment representative in Hong Kong. He led the first listing of a Japanese company, SBI Holdings Inc. (HK.6488), on the Hong Kong Main Board. Before SBI Holdings Inc., Mr. Tominaga was an assistant vice president and expatriate at Daiwa Capital Markets Hong Kong Limited, an overseas branch under Daiwa Securities Group, where he acted as a relationship manager from September 2008 to September 2010. Mr. Tominaga earned his bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and a joint master’s degree in global finance from New York University and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2003 and 2012,rRespectively.

Gable F. Gao, 53
Independent Non-executive Director

Mr. Gao has extensive investment banking and private equity experience spanning over 27 years across North America, Middle East and the Far East. Since June 2016, Mr. Gao has been the chairman and co-founder of MTech (Shanghai) Information Technology Co. Ltd., a technology accelerator and investment company. As the co-founder of MTech, Mr. Gao established a venture capital and private equity fund to invest in selected accelerated companies and other promising companies in technological fields such as gaming, AI, fintech and biomedicine. From January 2015 to May 2016, Mr. Gao served as a founding managing partner and member of the investment committee at Zhejiang United Investment Group, the largest provincial investment conglomerate initiated by the Zhejiang Association of Industry and Commerce. From September 2011 to October 2013, Mr. Gao served as an assistant president of Fosun Group, and as a head of Fosun Capital Group, a private equity firm of Fosun Group, one of the largest privately owned conglomerates in China. From July 2007 to September 2011, Mr. Gao was a managing director, chief representative and a founding head of Istithmar World, an investment firm under the state-owned holding company Dubai World, where he led a team for evaluating private equity opportunities and making investments in the consumer, industrial, financial and real estate industries for China and the Far East. Mr. Gao earned his diploma in English from China Foreign Affairs University, a bachelor of business and administration degree from Saint Mary’s University, and a master of business administration degree from Yale School of Management in Connecticut in 1988, 1991 and 1994, respectively.


Song Jing, 50
Independent Non-executive Director

Mr. Jing has over 19 years of extensive experience in finance management with in-depth knowledge of global capital markets, capital market operation, investment, and acquisitions. From April 2019 to March 2021, Mr. Jing was the chief financial officer of Guolian Securities, a Wuxi-based securities firm in China, where he oversaw the firm’s overall finance and treasury functions, and was responsible for the firm’s IPO listing process. From July 2016 to February 2018, Mr. Jing served as a deputy chief financial officer of Chinese Renaissance, a Shanghai-based leading boutique Chinese investment bank, where he was in charge of capital raising efforts, funding, and liquidity management. From April 2011 to June 2016, Mr. Jing was an executive director of Citic Securities, an investment bank in China. Mr. Jing previously also served as the vice president of the Hedge Fund Development Management Group and vice president of the Strategy, Planning & Business Development office for Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc., in New York from September 2006 to October 2010 and September 2002 to August 2006, respectively. Mr. Jing obtained a bachelor of science degree in economics and finance from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania and a master of business administration degree in finance and accounting from the University of Rochester in in 1995 and 2002, respectively.


Michael L. Coyne, 33
Independent Non-executive Director

Mr. Coyne has six years of extensive capital markets, business development, and deal origination experience. Since June 2021, Mr. Coyne has been serving as the founder and a managing member of Twin Grove Investments, LLC, an investment services company. Since February 2018, Mr. Coyne has been serving as a senior vice president and head of capital markets at Ingalls & Snyder, LLC, an investment advisory firm. From August 2015 to February 2018, Mr. Coyne served as a vice president and head of syndicate of Capital Integration Systems LLC, an online financial services platform based in New York. From February 2012 to July 2019, Mr. Coyne served as first lieutenant, executive officer, task force officer-in-charge and platoon leader and operations officer of the Army National Guard and the U.S. Army. Mr. Coyne passed the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 7, 63, 24, 79 examinations and obtained a Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) license in September 2, 2015; January 25, 2016; September 24, 2018; August 22, 2018 and October 1, 2018, respectively. Mr. Coyne obtained a bachelor of arts degree in political science and international affairs from Northeastern University and a master of business administration degree from Leonard N. Stern School of Business, New York University in 2011 and 2019, respectively.
