Paul Conway, 52
Chief Executive Officer and Director
Paul Conway is the Co-Founder of Pacific Media Group, a leading financier and distributor of content, such as Ad Astra, which it recently produced. Other films financed includes The Martian, The Greatest Showman, War of the Planet of the Apes, X-Men Apocalypse and Alien: Covenant. Pacific Media Group owns a leading animated content library in China including rights for the popular series Wild Kratts, Gigantosaurus and Garfield. Pacific Media Group is also a leading investor in European football. In June 2016, Mr. Conway was one of the leaders of a group that acquired OGC Nice. At OGC Nice, under Conway’s leadership, significant player trading profits were generated and reinvested in the squad, making it more competitive within France and internationally, including the club’s first appearance in the UEFA Champions League. As a result of the significant improvements to OGC Nice, PMG was able to exit the club in August 2019. In December 2017, Mr. Conway led the acquisition of Barnsley Football Club and brought the same strategy of commitment to youth, data analytics and commercialization to England. In the first full year of ownership, the club was automatically promoted to the English Championship. In the 2020-21 English Championship season, Barnsley secured a place in the playoff for promotion to the English Premier League with the youngest squad in the league. Mr. Conway currently serves as Co-Chairman of Barnsley Football Club. In November 2019, he entered into a strategic partnership with Swiss club FC Thun and Mr. Conway joined the Board of Directors. In May 2020, along with Partners Path Capital, his group acquired 72% of K.V. Oostende in Belgium. Mr. Conway serves on the boards of AS Nancy Lorraine, and Esbjerg fb, and FC Den Bosch. Mr. Conway is a frequently interviewed by major media outlets, including The Times of London, Forbes, Bloomberg, The Daily Telegraph, The Athletic, The Daily Mail, France Football, BBC, Sky Sports, Bloomberg and Reuters. Mr. Conway previously was a Managing Director in the Media Investment Banking Group with Oppenheimer and Co. Mr. Conway received his M.B.A. from the Columbia Business School, and received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Miami.
Michael Kalt, 47

Michael Kalt is the managing member of Partners Path Capital, a multifamily investment office he founded in 2014 that focuses on real estate and specialty private transactions. He also serves as Senior Advisor to Sidewalk Labs, an Alphabet affiliate charged with accelerating the pace of urban innovation to dramatically improve the quality of city life. Previously, Michael was Senior Vice President of Development and Business Affairs for the Tampa Bay Rays, where he was part of the core management team that turned around what had been one of the most underperforming clubs in major league baseball, using an analytics-based approach to drive outsize performance on a limited budget, both on and off the field. He currently serves on the boards of K.V. Oostende of the Belgian Pro League, AS Nancy Lorraine of France’s Ligue 2, and FC Den Bosch of Holland’s Eerste Divisie and is chairperson of Esbjerg fB of the Danish First Division. Michael also worked in Mayor Bloomberg’s office as a senior advisor to the New York City Deputy Mayor for Economic Development. In that capacity, he managed relations between the Mayor’s Office and the city’s Economic Development Corporation, coordinated area-wide planning and economic development initiatives through the five boroughs, and served as the city’s point person for the development of the new Yankee Stadium, Citi Field and the Barclays Center. Before joining the Bloomberg Administration, Michael was a management consultant with McKinsey & Company where he focused on addressing both strategic and operating issues for media and telecommunications firms. Michael received his BA in Political Science and Urban Studies from Brown University and his JD from Harvard Law School.

Randy Frankel, 64

Randy Frankel is co-owner of the Tampa Bay Rays of Major League Baseball. His ownership group has overseen one of the most dramatic turnarounds in professional sports history, turning one of the worst-run clubs in the United States into one that is consistently recognized as the gold standard by its peers. The Rays’ success has culminated in two American League championships, including one in 2020, despite consistently operating on a player budget that is less than one-half that of its competitors. Prior to owning the Rays, Frankel was at Spear, Leeds & Kellogg, where he was a managing director and member of the firm’s executive committee. Frankel joined Goldman Sachs as a managing director, following its acquisition of Spear, Leeds, & Kellogg. In addition to his interests in professional sports, which include co-ownership of Belgian Pro League club KV Oostende, French Ligue 2 side AS Nancy Lorraine and Danish First Division Esbjerg fB, Frankel is involved in a wide variety of business pursuits, including commercial real estate, golf courses, wineries and fitness concepts. Frankel is a graduate of Hofstra University, where he was a member of the 1976 men’s basketball team that appeared in the NCAA tournament.
Andrew Friedman, 45

Andrew Friedman has been the Los Angeles Dodgers’ President of Baseball Operations since October 2014, instilling a winning culture that has resulted in a division title in six seasons, three National League pennants and the 2020 World Championship. Under Friedman’s leadership since 2015, the Dodgers lead MLB with a .614 winning percentage (634-398), including a franchise-record 106 wins in 2019 and a club-best .717 winning percentage during the shortened 2020 season (43-17). Entering his eighth season with the club, Friedman has overseen the development of a well-regarded baseball farm system, positioning the organization for the long-term success, and also reorganized and built out the team’s front office, including developing a highly respected data analytics operation. Friedman was named Major League Baseball’s 2020 Executive of the Year and the Dodgers have twice (2017, 2020) been recognized by Baseball America as its Organization of the Year, honoring the team for its success from top to bottom. Friedman previously served as Executive Vice President of Baseball Operations of the Tampa Bay Rays where, despite overseeing what was typically one of the league’s lowest payrolls, he led the Rays to four postseason appearances, including two division titles (2008, 2010), in nine seasons from 2006-14. During Friedman’s time in Tampa Bay, the Rays posted the franchise’s first winning season and won the American League pennant in 2008, when he was named Sporting News’ Executive of the Year. After finishing below .500 in each of their first 10 years of existence, the Rays finished above the .500 mark in six consecutive seasons under Friedman from 2008-13. Friedman joined the Rays in 2004 and spent two years serving as director of baseball development. Prior to his career in baseball, Friedman was an analyst for two years with New York City-based investment firm Bear, Stearns & Co., Inc., and spent three years as an associate for the private equity firm MidMark Capital. Friedman received a baseball scholarship to Tulane University, where he played outfield for the Green Wave and graduated with a bachelor of science in management with a concentration in finance.

Julie Uhrman is the Co-Founder and President of Angel City Football Club (ACFC), Los Angeles’ newest professional women’s soccer team set to debut in Spring 2022 in the NWSL. Uhrman founded ACFC with Academy Award-winning actress and activist Natalie Portman, technology venture capitalist Kara Nortman and venture capitalist, 776 founder & Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian. ACFC is one of the only majority female-founded and run professional sports teams in the world. She is part of the DraftKings’ All-Star Network as an Advisor to Drive by DraftKings. Uhrman has also been named a member of Adweek’s 2021 and 2020 Most Powerful Women In Sports, one of the 100 Most Creative People in Business by Fast Company, and to the Creative 50 list by Advertising Age. Before ACFC, Uhrman served as the EVP and General Manager of OTT Ventures at Lionsgate, Head of Platform Business Development at Jaunt, a virtual reality content startup, and Founder and CEO of OUYA, a pioneering Android-based game console. Uhrman is a Board Member of the Los Angeles Sports & Entertainment Commission, LA Sports Council and the Rose Bowl Institute.
